About the event
Who:
● For its inaugural year, Givesboro will be concentrated in the Downtown area.
● All proceeds collected from the campaign will directly benefit the Interactive Resource Center (IRC), a non-profit organization that assists neighbors experiencing homelessness and poverty reconnect with their own lives and with the community at large.
What:
● Givesboro is a fundraising campaign that encourages individuals to lift up their community by giving back to those in need.
When:
● Givesboro will run from November 15 - December 31, 2018. The campaign will align with the #BuyLocalSeason, sponsored by Triad Local First.
Where:
● At participating retailers, restaurants, and businesses throughout the Downtown area!
Why:
● Greatness is not what you have - it’s what you give! This holiday season, there are several ways that you can give back:
○ By purchasing a discount card for $10 that can be presented at participating retailers, restaurants, and businesses throughout the Downtown area.
○ By donating your loose change in the tins you see at the registers of participating retailers, restaurants, and businesses throughout the Downtown area.
